My very logical daughter has always struggled with her desire for business success and wanting to help people.  When she was young I told her she would make a great nurse, but she said she wanted a job where she could make a lot of money.  Then her grandmother came to live with us and needed home nurses.  Gradually my teen aged daughter began helping the caregivers.  She became more and more absorbed in the process until one day I found her online, researching, “usa nursing jobs“.  She said she had become interested in nursing but wanted to be sure it was recession proof.  When she found that nurses are more in demand than ever, she made her career choice – logically, of course.
