Daiwa Saltiga 30t has Quite the Drag
If you enjoy bottom fishing and deepwater jigging, then the Daiwa Saltiga 30t was made especially for you. Thankfully I already owned one before I read an online fishing tale where a 2.5-pound salmon demolished a similar reel. Beats me how that happened as I have had my Daiwa Saltiga 30t for several years, and I have wrestled much larger fish with it with no mishaps. One thing that may be different on my reel though is that I have the Carbontex Drag upgrade. This upgrade lets my reel sustain five times the drag of that 2.5-pound salmon, all the way up to 10 pounds. So I am glad that I already owned my Daiwa Saltiga 30g reel, or that fish tale may have kept me from enjoying one of the best pieces of fishing equipment that I own.
