Gospel Preached at Funerals
I’ve heard some people say that they don’t want the Gospel of Jesus Christ preached at their funeral. If they are a member of the church and are having their service at our church, then why not? It is jesus christ that allows us to overcome death. I think we owe it to Him to speak about the plan of salvation in hopes that others will have the opportunity to come unto Him as they feel His Spirit. I think it’s nice to remember the life of the deceased, but a funeral is also meant to comfort the mourning. How better to do that than with the Gospel?
