How A Free Credit Report Can Save Your Credit

Making sure that you get a free credit report each year from the main reporting agencies can insure that you keep your credit clean in more ways than one.  By obtaining a free credit report, you can see if there is activity on your credit history that does not belong to you.  Many people spot identity theft in this way.  If you catch identity theft, which is when someone uses your name and social security number to open accounts, you can stop it before it becomes even more of a problem.  Another way a free credit report can save your credit is to ascertain any errors that are reflected on your credit report.  These will come up every so often and you can get them removed if they do not belong to you.  Maintaining your credit with a free credit report each year also makes you more credit conscious.

Tax Liens and Inflation

Not so long ago, rents never kept up with rising costs of property ownership, so even after all the tax benefits were factored in, investors were committed to a net negative cash flow. This was rationalized with assumption that inflation would raise the value of the property to a level at which monthly payments would be recovered with a profit to boot.

The deflationary environment which began in 1981 burst a lot of speculative bubbles, but even now tax liens investors commit themselves to ownership of property knowing that there will be negative cash flow and less potential for appreciation.

Colonoscopy - What is it?

Colonoscopy is done for patients who have problems like indigestion, loose stools, irregular bowel movements, blood in the excreta, etc., for large span of time.

To rule out colon cancer, Colonoscopy is used. The scope, consisting of a very thin wire like material, with a light at tip is inserted through the rectum, and the medical professional examines the whole colon, looking for abnormalities. If any abnormality is found as tissue growth, or looks different, with the same instrument, a piece of it is taken out for biopsy. A diagnosis is made and appropriate measures are suggested to the patient.

The Greenhouse Effect

Global warming is due to the so called ‘greenhouse effect’ - this is one of the main global warming causes. The greenhouse effect is actually what makes our planet habitable in the first place, but problems may arise when the atmospheric concentration of greenhouse gases increases. Since the beginning of the industrial revolution, atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide have increased nearly 30%, methane concentrations have more than doubled, and nitrous oxide concentrations have risen by about 15%. These increases have enhanced the heat-trapping capability of the earth’s atmosphere. Fossil fuels burned to run cars and trucks, heat homes and businesses, and power factories are responsible for about 98% of U.S. carbon dioxide emissions, 24% of methane emissions, and 18% of nitrous oxide emissions. Increased agriculture, deforestation, landfills, industrial production, and mining also contribute a significant share of emissions. In 1997, the United States emitted about one-fifth of total global greenhouse gases.
