In order to use the Prince 2 methodology in your project management, you need to be certified. You can either sit through the training courses with certified trainers or teach yourself the coursework. Either way, when you are finished, you can sit the examination to become a Registered Practitioner. There are two exams for this: the Foundation Examination and the Practitioner Examination. You need to take them in that order. You can sit for both exams in the same week, or you can split them up and take one now and one later. Everyone learns at a different pace. It is entirely up to you how you take the exams. You have to pass the Foundation Exam first, however. This means if you take the exams in the same week, and pass the Practitioner Exam but not the Foundation Exam, your Practitioner Exam score won’t count. You will have to take both exams once more.
