Techniques needed for computer security
Computer security is too big a topic for an unstructured discussion, where computer security implies that access be limited to authorized users, therefore, techniques are required to control access and to securely identify users. While computer security experts have speculated for years that DES has a trap door, however, DES has resisted the penetration efforts of mathematicians and computer scientists. Computer security provides a technical strategy to convert negative requirements to positive enforceable rules, and for this reason computer security is often more technical and mathematical than some computer science fields.
