Some colleges are starting to accept a homeschool diploma from applicants.  Years ago, a student had to have a high school diploma as well as a stellar grade point average in order to get into a good college.  Those who had a GED were often denied.  Anyone who had a homeschool diploma was often treated like a second class citizen and not admitted to good colleges.  The tides have turned, however, and today more colleges are accepting a homeschool diploma.  The reason for this is that more parents are opting to home school their children.  In addition, home schooled students generally have a better academic record than those who are schooled in the traditional setting.  For this reason, many colleges are glad to accept a home school diploma.
