Chapter 7 Bankruptcy and the Notification of Creditors
Within 14 days after filing for chapter 7 bankruptcy, the courts will issue a notice through the mail to all the creditors you have listed. If you wish, the creditors can actually be contacted sooner. In case you forget to list a creditor, you can amend the list before the discharge is complete. As long as the change is made in time, the forgotten creditor will be added and notified as well.
