Understanding Joint Living Trusts
A joint living trust is one where the person setting up the trust is usually the trustee for the funds while they are living. After they have passed another person will then take over the living trust and the allocation of the funds and assets that are in the trust. Typically the joint living trust is set up as revocable so that at any time it can be terminated or changed. This allows more freedom with the trust and is an option that some people choose.
