One way people try to eat healthier is to consume less butter. This is a smart move. What is not a smart move is to substitute that butter for margarine. This is a diet health food strategy that is faulty. Many people assume that margarine is better because it contains less fat than butter. Actually, this is not entirely true. Butter and margarine have different types of fat, but the amount is similar. Neither one of these fats are healthy for you.

Whether you use margarine or butter, you should do so judiciously. In fact, if you can cut it out of your diet altogether you should!
