How Sarah Coleman Became a Dental Assistant
When Sarah Coleman completed her high school education, she decided to take a course in dental assisting. Her high school guidance councillor assured her that a career in the dental field would be a wise choice. There were several technical colleges that offered classes in dental assisting, but she chose the one closest to her home. Sarah even took courses during the summer so she could graduate earlier. She thought if she got her degree before others in her class it would give her an advantage when it came time to apply for a job. But when she started handing out resumes, she found there were other dental assistants with degrees competing for the same jobs. Sarah didn’t let this discourage her and within two months of graduation she was hired at a dental office in Pittsburgh. Now she is, Sarah Coleman Dental Assistant .
