Most, if not all, composting worms like to be fed the same way. It doesn’t matter how many worm farms you have or what kind of worms you have in them, you just have to remember one thing.
Composting worms are top feeders. It doesn’t matter the kind of bedding or the type of bin. Just don’t bury the food too deeply.
It is important to place something over the top, like layers of wet newspapers before replacing the lid. This will help keep out unwanted pests.
By feeding worms at the top, this makes it easier for them to transfer up into another bin. It also makes collecting the compost and castings easier.
