Google Earth is your one-stop gateway to exploring the great city of london.  Google Earth is a free download available on Google’s web site.  It lets you see a detailed view of the streets of London and visit all the historic places at no cost.  Google Earth uses AJAX and DirectX technology to bring crystal clear images right to you.  Besides their free version, they also offer a commercial and professional version of their software.  Of course the casual layperson has little need for this, but businesses (such as media outlets, travel agencies, etc.) have found the added features on the Google Pro aerial maps quite beneficial.
