Each year, Franklin Mint and other craft houses commission sets of collectible animal figurines.  If you start your subscription at the beginning of the series, all you will have to do is keep up on your payments.  That said, if you are interested in obtaining an older, or no longer manufactured set of collectible animal figurines, it may take some research.  Among other things, you may want to ask a local appraiser or pawn shop owner to keep an eye out for the figurines that you are looking for.
